Family cookout
Enough fire for a cookout with the whole family, outside, just like at home.
More than a grill, an authentic taste.
Portable rocket stove, made in Montréal
No propane, no power, no compromise. From the hunting camp to family supper, the flame is ready in under 2 minutes.
Made in Québec
No assembly line on the other side of the world: every rocket stove is bent, welded and finished by hand, in high-temperature Canadian steel, then protected with a heat-resistant coating for reliable outdoor cooking. The small marks of handwork are what make a MASHWIMC stay with you for years. We don’t promise zero upkeep, we show you how to do it right.

Greater Montréal
Enough fire for a cookout with the whole family, outside, just like at home.
The Laurentians
You open up the cabin and it’s −12. One match, a few hardwood offcuts, and you’re cooking outside like it’s summer.
Abitibi – Côte-Nord
Hot coffee at first light, before the moose shows up. The stove fits in the trunk, and the flame is going in two minutes.
Anywhere in Québec
The ice storm doesn’t get the last word. The power can go out, but not your supper. No electricity, no propane, just you, the wood, and the flame.
Why the MASHWIMC
100% made in Canada, high-temperature steel, hand-welded in Québec.
Because the most reliable products come from the realities of this place, the MASHWIᴹᶜ is hand-welded in Québec, at TGP Metals:
Built for the real Canadian climate: cold nights, campsite humidity, intense summer heat.
Its high-temperature steel takes the swings of our seasons, year after year. Built to last. Made to perform.
The L-shaped firebox drives the flame from the first seconds. No preheating: you light it, you cook.
No waiting: a strong flame in under 2 minutes, from a hunting camp in Abitibi to a backyard in Longueuil.
Hardwood offcuts or charcoal, no propane to buy, no bill at the end of the month.
Runs on what you find on site:
The MASHWIMC brings back that one-of-a-kind flavour propane can’t reproduce, the taste of real wood fire.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ gives skewers and grilled meats that real wood-fire taste propane can’t match.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ lets you cook a walleye, a trout or a salmon pulled from the lake that same morning, right over the fire.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ has the power for a mechoui or a whole lamb at big gatherings.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ lets you boil tea over the fire and cook the traditional way.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ makes gourmet camp cooking possible, because eating well in the woods isn’t a luxury.
Easy to carry and set up, from the hunting camp to the patio, with a stop at the cabin.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ goes along to hunting and fishing camps in Abitibi, the Laurentians and the Côte-Nord.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ slips easily into a camping bag for the national parks of Québec and Canada.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ works just as well for a weekend at the cabin as for a whole summer in the woods.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ keeps up with van life on the roads of Québec.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ makes a backyard or patio BBQ night possible without opening the propane tank.
The MASHWIᴹᶜ gives you full cooking autonomy in an emergency or off the grid.

Frequently asked questions
Unlike mass-imported rocket stoves, the MASHWIMC is hand-welded in Québec, in thick high-temperature steel, not thin sheet metal that warps after a single season. Its L-shaped chamber is calibrated for the Canadian climate, from −20 °C to humid summers. And if a problem comes up, you talk to a team from here, not to a customer service desk overseas.
An outdoor cooking appliance with an optimized burn: a safe, L-shaped firebox that burns wood very efficiently. Intense heat, very little fuel, almost no smoke with dry wood, and no propane or electricity.
Yes, the MASHWIMC complements or replaces a propane barbecue, depending on what you need. Its real strength is authentic wood fire: mechoui, grilling and gourmet camp meals, with the family, on a fishing trip, at the hunting camp or at big gatherings. And, a first for a wood stove: the MASHWIMC lights a strong flame in under two minutes, when wood has always had a reputation for being slow.
In most municipalities, a closed-combustion outdoor cooking appliance like the MASHWIMC is allowed. Check your borough’s bylaws: cooking appliances are treated differently from open fires. In rural areas, there are practically no restrictions.
To care for the MASHWIMC, empty the cooled ashes, wipe it dry, then store it folded under cover.
Any carbon steel product exposed to repeated cycles of heat, cold and humidity can eventually develop light surface oxidation; that’s the very nature of the steel used in outdoor cooking. The MASHWIMC is protected by a quality heat-resistant coating and built from sturdy steel to maximize its durability. Occasional cleaning and a paint touch-up when needed are normal upkeep that extends the life of your stove.
The MASHWIMC is finished with a quality high-temperature coating, designed to withstand intermittent exposure to temperatures of up to about 550 °F (287 °C) on the treated outer surfaces. Like any coating exposed to fire, it can dull over time, which is exactly why we bet on the thickness and quality of the steel rather than on the look of the paint: it’s the steel that protects your investment in the long run, not the surface finish.
